Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project
Location - Along the Kaladan River from Sittwe Port to Mizoran, India is 1294 Km.
Objective - To facilitate the cargo transport to Mizoran through Rakhine State and border of Myanmar-India
Date and venue of Signing agreement - 2-4-2008, Newdaily, India
Establishment of Working Committee - 13-8-2009
Project Period - 4 yrs
Project execution - Development of Sittwe Port and Kaladan River , allocation of navigation aids along the Kaladan River from Sittwe to Paletwa and construction of road link from Palatwa to India-Myanmar border.
Project Cost - US$ 117.38 Millions
Progress of pre-engineering works - Hydrographic survey for navigation Channel and Sittwe harbor.
